Park, KS – International Motor Coach Group (IMG) presented the 2009 Spirit
Award to Shafer’s Tour and Charter during the annual Maintenance & Safety
Forum in Orlando Florida. Shafer’s
Tour and Charter, located in Endicott, NY, was represented by Dean Lawton,
Safety Director, Larry Shafer, Jr., Operations and Kevin Shafer, Maintenance
Director. The
award, presented by Brian Scott, IMG Chairman, is given to the IMG Operator who
acts in the “Spirit” of IMG philosophies, best practices, operations from a
maintenance standpoint and who demonstrates a leadership role that benefits the
fellow members and the IMG organization. Shafer’s
was chosen by IMG based on feedback from members and observations by IMG over
the preceding year that take into account the candidates interaction with fellow
members and their participation within the IMG organization. “It
is with great pride that the entire Shafer Family gratefully accepts this very
prestigious IMG Spirit award, and we express our gratitude for the recognition
of our accomplishments,” stated Larry Shafer, Sr., COO.
