At the New York Botanical Gardens.  You’ll SEE the spectacular seasonal exhibitions inside a landmark glasshouse that also features a tropical rain forest and cactus-filled desert with plants that can be seen nowhere else in New York. On board your narrated tram tour, you’ll explore 50 diverse gardens and plant collections across 250 acres of year-round beauty, including 30,000 magnificent trees.  Your tram will drop you at the Historic Stone Mill, where you’ll FEEL the gentle breezes through the trees as you enjoy your gourmet bag lunch.   On your way back to the visitor’s center, you’ll make a stop at the Rose Gardens (they should be at their peak) where you can SMELL the beauty of this stunning garden which now displays more than 3,500 rose plants and over 600 varieties.

 After lunch, board Shafer’s motorcoach for the Manhattan.  You will be dropped at 46^th &8^th where you’ll board a NY Sightseeing Double-Decker bus for a two-hour narrated tour of the city.  You’ll HEAR the history of some of the cities most famous neighborhoods and stories of some of the characters that shaped New York City’s history.

  Your Double-decker bus will drop you at the door of the NYC dining icon, Carmines.  You will savor the TASTE of this Legendary Family Style Italian Restaurant.
